  • 1989: Cabo Rico #34003 (hull #3) was built in San Jose, Costa Rica

  • October, 1989: Purchased by Andrew Barrett at the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show

  • 1989 - 1997: Christened “Tobermory,” she was sailed in Florida waters, then in the Chesapeake Bay and along the New England Coast

  • February 1995: Barrett wanted more power for ICW travel, so he had a new 46 horsepower Yanmar 3JH2TE engine installed

  • August, 1997: Sold to Canadians Eric and Johanna Rafuse, and re-christened “Papa II.”

  • 1998 - 2001: Papa II was sailed around the world via the Panama and Suez Canals, by Eric, Johanna, and their young daughter Erica.

  • 2001 - 2008: Papa II sailed the Caribbean

  • April 2008: Sold to Marcelo (Brazilian) & Martina (Swedish) Spina Hering in Antigua, and re-christened “Mar Mar.”

  • 2008-2014: Mar Mar sailed the Caribbean, Central America, Mexico, and Florida. Daughter Marina was conceived, and later born in Sweden.

  • April 2015: Purchased by Joe & Maribeth Hagan, re-christened “La Peregrina,” and USCG documented.

  • 2015: Sailed 1000 nautical miles, Florida to New Orleans and Lake Pontchartrain

  • 2016 - 2017: Joe & Maribeth’s “Year of Living Dangerously.” Sailed 5100 nautical miles. US, Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, Cuba, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Honduras, Guatemala, Belize, Mexico, US

  • 2018: Launch of Offshore Adventure Sailing LLC - 2400 nm, mostly in the Gulf of Mexico

  • 2019: 3200 nm, Gulf of Mexico, Bahamas

  • Spring 2020: 2000 nm, Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Florida. Season shortened by Covid

  • Late 2020 thru 2021: 5700 nm, Florida, US East Coast to Canadian Border, return to Charleston SC
